Glenelg Community Aged Care
Glenelg Community Aged Care facility was opened in January 2011 with a total of 90 beds in 3 x wings on approx 1.6ha land. The facility has been specifically designed for “ageing in place” so that residents, including couples, can be accommodated and will not need to move from the facility if their care needs change.
An additional 30 bed wing was opened in February 2012.
30 single bedrooms low care ranging in size from 14.5m2 to 21m2 plus ensuites bathroom.
40 beds high care (38 x single rooms all with ensuites, 1 x twin room with ensuite).
20 beds dementia high care (All single rooms & ensuite).
30 low care places will open in a new wing.
The bedrooms are of varying sizes to accommodate residents with different needs, and to offer residents requiring more space the opportunity to be accommodated.

- The facility is arranged on one level and comprises large single rooms with individual en suite bathrooms.
- Three separate dining areas, lounge areas, activity areas and internet booth.
- Registered Nurse (Div 1) plus support staff on duty 24 hours a day.
